Army Corps of Engineers
LEMA is a preferred partner of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) with many projects already delivered and additional projects that are currently ongoing. LEMA works directly with different divisions of the USACE. In Champaign, IL, LEMA is working with the Construction Engineering Research Lab (CERL) on groundbreaking technologies in military engineering. LEMA is a key partner providing unmatched reliability and service.
Additionally, LEMA works with the Contingency Basing Integration Training and Evaluation Center (CBITEC) based out of Fort Leonard Wood, MS. At Fort Leonard Wood, LEMA’s systems actively contribute to the research done at CBITEC and improve everyday life as our systems are used to power housing at Fort Leonard Wood. This serves as another example of the enduring dependability of LEMA systems.
U.S. Navy
During April and May of 2025, LEMA participated in the Hybrid Fleet Campaign in coordination with U.S. Naval Southern Command, the United States Fourth Fleet, and the Salvadorian Military in joint anti-trafficking operations. LEMA was an invaluable resource, providing continuous, uninterrupted power to the mission’s ground-control stations.
During this mission, there was a power outage at Cooperative Security Location Comalapa, El Salvador, where the mission was based. Normally, this would threaten the entire mission; however, the LEMA system maintained continuous power, and participants at the event did not even notice the outage. This occurance provides an excellent example of the dependability of LEMA systems in any environment.
U.S. African Command
LEMA has been a key contributor to work done by the United States Africa Command (AFRICOM) in working with our partner nations. LEMA worked in coordination with the U.S. Army Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC) and the Zambia Defense Force (ZDF) on a training course that included instructions on LEMA system operations. LEMA systems are important for developing important security relations between the U.S. and partners around the world.
Wind River Reservation
LEMA empowers U.S. tribal communities with power systems that are assembled, installed, operated and maintained by local technicians. LEMA has worked closely with the Eastern Shoshone at the Wind River Reservation in Wyoming to train a local workforce. This training enables tribes to create jobs, encourage economic development, and strengthen tribal sovereignty through self-determination.
Since rural tribes face unreliable access to electricity, they benefit greatly from LEMA off-grid power systems. Our power systems give tribes more reliable access to electricity and start them down the path of energy sovereignty. This energy powers other economic activities (agriculture, tourism, oil and gas extraction, etc.)
Kenya
LEMA takes pride in having completed life-saving work in remote areas in Kenya. Our systems are providing power to rural Kilifi County health services, where they are improving maternal healthcare, providing cold storage for medications, and expanding medical operations. In Kilifi County, the infant mortality rate as of 2019 was 30 deaths per 1000 live births, almost eight times the average in the United States. Since LEMA’s introduction, child mortality rates have fallen.
LEMA has local staff in Kenya who service our African operations. Our staff are based in Nairobi, which is centrally located in the East African region.
Haiti/South Sudan
LEMA prides itself on reaching last-mile locations, as demonstrated by our work in Haiti and South Sudan. During our work in these countries, both were active conflict zones, including a civil war raging in Haiti. Nevertheless, LEMA delivered. We employ adaptable, creative logistics which are tailor made to every individual situation. In South Sudan, we delivered LEMA systems during a civil war and the first year of the COVID pandemic. By land, sea, or air, LEMA delivers.
In today’s ever-changing world, dependability is critical, and we understand that. LEMA is committed to dependability regardless of the circumstances and our work in Haiti and South Sudan is a testament to that fact.
These examples are evidence of LEMA’s industry-leading role in remote, rugged, and challenging environments. We are an invaluable tactical tool and an extremely important diplomatic partner. Our systems have applications in the developed and developing worlds; they provide the energy needed in the most challenging locations.
